Delft Chandelier

Delft, a town in Holland, has given its name to the blue and white earthenware that was popular in the Colonies as early as 1725. This chandelier features genuine handpainted Delft globes and bobeches. Shaft and arms are solid brass with a pewter finish. Uses five candelabra bulbs; 60 watt maximum each. Georgetown Chandelier

Typical of the early chandeliers used in country meetinghouses throughout the Colonies, with a robust hand-turned wooden post and eight curving antiqued tin arms. The antique finishis achieved by lightly distressing black paint over a base of colonial blue. Aged drip candle sleeves. Uses eight candelabra bulbs; 60 watt maximum each.
