PEWTER PITCHER & CUPS
Boston silvermith Paul Revere created this appealing pitcher in the years following the American Revolution. The shape is an adaption of the creamware pottery pitchers being imported into America from Liverpool, England. At about the same time, Thomas Jefferson designed this simple cup and had it made in Richmond. Eight cups of this style were used by Jefferson at his home, Monticello. The originals were hand crafted in sterling silver. Reproduced in pewter, with a spun satin finish. Lead-free and food-safe. Made in USA.
