No. 710 SALEM TABLES

The square tapered legs on these finely made drop-leaf tables date them to the earliest years of the Federal period (1790-1820). The undercarriage features pinned mortise-and-tenon construction. There is a precisely cut "rule joint" running the length of the table, where the leaves meet the top. This is a sturdy tabe, ideal for family dining. The 6' version seats eight comfortably. Made entirely of clear hard maple. Shown in Red Mahogany Stain. Height 30". Width of top with leaves up 42"; with leaves down 21 1/2". Available in 4', 5', and 6' lengths.
