No. 306 ROUND TAVERN TABLE

Round top tables like this one were commonplace in late 18th century country inns, particularly along the Post Roads that connected Boston with cities down the Atlantic coast. Thomas Jefferson designed a table similar to this one for use at Monticello. The distinctive scalloped aprons are mortised into the straight tapered legs. We have added special slides to allow the top to accept an optional 18" wide extension leaf with a matching scalloped apron. Both table and extension leaf are entirely made in hard maple. Shown with base painted black and top in Medium Stain. Height 30". Top is 42" in diameter. Top with extension leaf measures 42" wide x 60" in length.

Available as an unfinished kit and a "made to order" finished piece.
