REDWARE LAMP
This redware lamp is created in a hand press, with attached handles and ring base, so that the size is quite consistent for hand made pottery (and it looks great in pairs). To decorate the two-handled crock used to make this lamp, the potter daubs the unglazed clay with dots of manganese (a naturally occurring mineral), in the manner of traditional 19th century redware. High gloss glaze. Three-way switch. Lamp is 18 1/2" tall, with a base diameter of 4 1/2". White linen shade. Imported.
