PEWTER SALT SET
Paul Revere, Boston silversmith and patriot, was commissioned in 1768 to create a bowl to honor the members of the Massachusetts House of Representatives who had opposed the Townshend Acts (taxation without representation). This is a miniature of that famous bowl, spun from solid pewter for use as a salt cellar. Complete with matching hand-cast spoon. Satin finish. Lead-free and food-safe. Bowl is 2 3/16" diameter x 1 3/4" high. Spoon is 2 5/8" long. Made in USA.
