CLIPPER SHIP PLACEMATS & COASTERS

Our placemats and coasters contain images of famous 19th century clipper ships--"Cutty Sark" (1869), "Champion of the Seas" (1854), "Ariel" (1865) & "Taeping" (1863), and "Lightning" (1854) & "Nightingale" (1851). All were famous for their extraordinary speed and most participated in the popular--and profitable--"tea races", bringing cargoes from China to either America or England. Both placemats and coasters feature a stain- and heat-resistant finish and flocked backing.
