BABY WITH RATTLE PRINT

In the 19th century, it was very common for families to commission memorial paintings. This one, dating from about 1840, depicts a little child holding a blue rattle. Although both boys and girls wore dresses as infants, this child is wearing a necklace, so we can assume that she is a girl. Print is framed under glass in a wood painted black and lightly distressed. Framed size is 19" wide x 23" high. Ready to hang. Made in USA.
