WHALE RIDING PRINT
Ralph Cahoon (1910-1982), the American primitive artist, lived and worked on Cape Cod here in Massachusetts when he painted this fanciful scene of a sailor and a mermaid riding a whale. It is not known whether he had ever heard about the whale-riding stories and traditions of the Maori people of New Zealand. Our print is framed under glass in a black painted wood frame. Framed size is 27" wide x 23" high. Ready to hang. Made in USA.
