QUEEN ANNE SIDE TABLE
Some authorities feel that the Queen Anne style "represents the most satisfactory expression of Colonial craftsmanship." Bulky Pilgrim style furniture gave way to simplified and graceful forms. This side table, with corners of the top shaped in circles, like porringers, is made of solid maple in the hard-to-find variant known as "figured" or "tiger" maple, with a hand-rubbed low-luster lacquer finish. Height is 25 1/2". Top is 19" x 14 1/2". Minor assembly required. Made in USA.
