NO. 341 ADJUSTABLE MUSIC STAND

Adjustable music or reading stands became popular in the coastal cities of the new American Republic after 1795. We have reproduced a rare original music stand found in New England. Note the elongated baluster turned pedestal and the modified cabriole legs terminating in slipper feet. The stand adjusts in height from 40" to 52", so that it can be used while seated or standing. The tilt of the desk adjusts by means of a removable brass pin into any of three positions. Strong enough to be used as a book or a Bible stand.

We make the Music Stand in solid clear Pennsylvania cherry throughout. Desk measures 18" wide x 12" high. Shown in an Oil and Wax Finish.
