No. 346 NEW YORK CANDLE STAND
The design of this stand, with its slender urn-shaped pedestal, reeded rectangular top with angled corners, and tapered concave legs is typical of New York City cabinetmakers, working in mahogany, circa 1800 - 1810. The original we measured is a rural example of the same period, in birch with red stain. Our reproduction is hard maple. Shown in Cherry Stain. Height is 26 5/8". Top measures 18" x 15".
Available as an unfinished kit, a "ready to ship" finished piece, and a "made to order" finished piece.
