No. 431 QUILT RACK
Early housewives used generously proportioned racks like this one for airing quilts and bed linen. The neat mortising of the three cross bars into the uprights, which in turn are mortised into the trestle feet, makes this piece sturdy and well-balanced. The original was found in the attic of an early home in Danvers, Massachusetts. Eastern white pine. Shown in Medium Stain. Height 46 1/2". Width 34". Length of foot 13".
Available as an unfinished kit, a "painter" kit, a "ready to ship" finished piece, and a "made to order" finished piece.
