Copied from mid-19th century English Staffordshire pottery originals. The transferware is a deep blue color, which shows wonderfully on the cream background of the pottery. The scene depicts a Venetian gondola and Gothic-style castle. Candlesticks are each 7 1/4" high. Imported.
