PRIMITIVE SPICE CHEST & BIRDS

Primitive spice chests such as this four-drawer chest may well have been used to hold many other things than spices in colonial homes. Note the generous base and top moldings, which make it particularly appealing. Constructed of wood and grain painted by hand. Spice chest measures 7 1/2" wide x 5" deep x 9" high. Made in USA.

On and around the spice chest are a set of five hand carved wooden birds gaily painted in traditional colors. Each one stands on a square wooden base. Sizes range from 2 1/2" - 4" high. Imported
